Remembering Mothers at Vale Royal Crematorium

Vale Royal Crematorium will be remembering mothers next month as local families are invited to pay tribute to their maternal loved ones.

On Mother’s Day - Sunday 19 March - local people are being invited to visit the crematorium’s chapel between 10am and 12noon for a moment of contemplation, with reflective music playing.

Visitors will be able light candles in memory of those they have lost and also write personal messages to them on tags which will be added to a commemorative board.

Crematorium staff are also hoping to be able to hand out daffodils which have been grown within its landscaped grounds, which people can either place on the memorials of their loved ones or take home with them.

Vale Royal Crematorium is part of Westerleigh Group, the UK’s largest owner and operator of crematoria and cemeteries, with 37 sites in England, Scotland, and Wales, all set within beautifully landscaped gardens of remembrance which provide pleasant, peaceful places for people to visit and reflect.

Dave Haslam, Site Manager at Vale Royal Crematorium, said: “Mother’s Day can be a particularly poignant time for those who have lost their mum or mother-figure, or for mothers who have been bereaved of a child.

“We are inviting local families to visit us during this period to have a moment of reflection and contemplation within our chapel and beautiful grounds.

“We hope that visiting us will bring comfort to anyone who needs it during this special time of the year.”
